More than three years in the making, Microsoft is at long last set to show off
Windows Phone 7 on Monday.
What is debuting is actually Microsoft's second crack at Windows Phone 7. The first was a more enterprise-focused device that was scrapped about a year and a half ago when Microsoft decided it needed a much more consumer-friendly approach in order to take on the
iPhone and Google's Android.
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, along with AT&T Mobility and Consumer President Ralph De La Vega, have scheduled a press conference for 9:30 a.m. EDT on Monday, which we will cover live in this post. (Click below to sign up for a reminder e-mail.) T-Mobile is also set to show its Windows Phone 7 lineup later on Monday and we'll have plenty of coverage from both events.
